Kenton, Ohio - Hardin Memorial Hospital's Board of Trustees met Wednesday to receive committee reports and to receive a demonstration on the Bar Coding Medication Administration system used at HMH from Wendy Rodenberger, RN, Director of Quality.
The Finance/Audit/Compliance Committee met and reported they reviewed the system's financials year-to-date which revealed the hospital's operating margin is running slightly below budget.
The Quality of Care Committee made recommendations to the medical staff and the Board approved the initial appointments of Marc McCulloch, MD, Emergency Medicine; Suneel Kumar, MD, Radiology; James O'Brien Jr., MD, Pulmonary; Joseph Long, MD, Anesthesia; Heather Gray DPM, Podiatry; Shawn Ward DPM, Podiatry; and one new Allied Health Professional, Ben Allen, PAC. Several reappointments were approved and included 46 physicians, 3 Certified Nurse Anesthetists and 1 Physician Assistant.
The Community Needs Committee met and received a presentation from Mark Seckinger, President of HMH regarding the results from the 2012 Associate Opinion Survey. The committee also reviewed the Press Ganey, HCAHPS and Balanced Scorecard results for the first quarter of FY 2012 (July through September 2012). Chris Davis, Public Relations Director, shared information on many of the community events the hospital has participated in over the last few months.
The Nominating Committee met and recommended two new members to the Board of Trustees beginning in 2012. The Board approved the recommendations.
The Senior Management Report was given by Mr. Seckinger who updated the Board on construction and gave recognition to the associates who recently received awards at the OhioHealth Prism Award ceremony.
